Dance School Laguun was established in 2000 by Erika and Ivo Kappet. Our team coaches who are operating today are: Diana Mitt, Tanel Keres and Janek Alekseitsik (see Coaches), who are always in the competitions motivating and supporting their dancers or doing the work of the judge both in Estonia and in foreign countries.
Laguun Dance School is working closely with a number of foreign coaches, which allows the school dancers to participate in international training camps. In Laguun there are dance athletes, who represent Estonia in the Estonian national team competitions in various foreign countries and the stages involved in World Cup, World Championships and European Championships.
For smaller dancers, we have created a very popular dance tournament "Sweet Beginning". Every year in April, we organize World Championships and World Cups called "Old Thomas Trophy". We also help organize the Estonian Championship.
Laguun dancers have brought home several titles of Estonian Champions, from Cup competitions and plenty of trophies and medals from foreign competition.
In Laguun there is possible to learn ballroom with choreography. In addition, you can deal with hip-hop and social dancing. Athletes have the opportunity to dance in Tallinn, also on a monthly basis they have a chance to train under the guidance of foreign coaches. Our Dance School works with a number of nursery schools. In addition, we have opened branches in and around Tallinn – in Jüri and Põltsamaa.
The school is located in the center of Tallinn. For trainings we have a number of large halls with cloakrooms. In the same place we have our dressmaker, who makes our competition and training clothes with Capet marking. Dance School leads to land from England our favored brand by the dancers – shoes and fabrics by DSI. Also we have in our school a small boutique for dance requirements, where you can buy everything you need for dancesport.
In addition we have every summer and winter camps in Estonia in adequate conditions, which are affordable and highly appreciated by parents and children.
